ABOUT US

PMA Engineering, (formerly Page McNaghten Associates) a structural engineering company, was established in 1975. Our goal is to provide quality engineering designs that are practical and buildable. Principals David McNaghten and Jeffrey Patterson will be personally involved with projects of any size.

The firm currently has a staff of 9 full time structural engineers, plus support detailers. We are experienced in the design of building structures comprised of steel, concrete, masonry and wood. We maintain a structural library continually updated with the most recent literature available. Utilizing AutoCAD, Revit Structure, Microstation and Bentley BIM we can integrate our work with that of virtually any other office. We use the latest structural software to allow us to analyze and design structures with state-of-the art efficiency and accuracy.

We are qualified to work on most structural projects, however the majority of our projects fall into the following categories:

Low, medium and high-rise commercial office buildings (speculative and built to suit)
Institutional buildings (assembly and community buildings, theaters, churches, schools, restaurants)
Military installations (barracks, company operations facilities, communications facilities, chapels, aircraft hangars)
Rehabilitation or renovations of older or historically significant buildings (commercial and military)
Retail centers (regional malls, lifestyle centers and
power centers)
Parking garages
Manufacturing plants and warehouses
Industrial structures
Inspections, reports, modifications, and additions to these
types of projects

We are proud of the diverse size and scope of the projects we have undertaken over the years. We have provided structural engineering for projects from the 42 story One Kansas City Place, to tenant finish modifications for existing commercial and retail space.
